Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026. This is a starting policy — have it reviewed before public launch.
Coachify ("we", "the app") helps youth sports coaches manage rosters, lineups, schedules, and team communication. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address and display name, via Firebase Authentication (email/password or Sign in with Apple).
- Team data: rosters (player names, jersey numbers, and — when a coach imports a league roster — parent/guardian email addresses), schedules, lineups, and messages you send.
- Device tokens: a push-notification token so we can deliver alerts you opt into.
- Crash and diagnostic data: if the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics collects a crash report — the stack trace, device model, OS version, and an anonymous installation identifier. It is used only to find and fix bugs. It does not include your roster, messages, or account details.
How it's used
- To run the app's features: build lineups, sync your team across devices, send invites, and deliver notifications.
- Team data is visible only to members of that team. Direct messages are visible only to the two participants.
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Where it lives
Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics) under industry-standard security. Access is enforced by server-side security rules.
Children's data
Coachify is used by coaches and parents, not children. We do not collect dates of birth. Player names and jersey numbers entered by coaches are team-management records, visible only to that team.
Your choices
- Delete your account anytime in More → Account → Delete Account; teams you own are removed and your memberships deleted.
- Turn notifications on/off per type in the app's settings.
